This not only includes all apps that you installed yourself, but also updates to system apps (the system apps that come with the OS live in a different partition, but updates to then share space with your apps).
If I recall correctly the S2 only gives you 2GB for apps and their data (which was actually a lot when it was released, but apps have got bigger since then!).
